The Usher's Ministry

To be a doorkeeper and a special assistant to the Pastor. Ushers and Greeters set the mood of the people as they enter the house of the Lord. They are courteous and kind, yet stern. They give a warm welcome to brighten each ones day. We assist the Pastor in keeping good order and discipline in the house of God during service. Ushers are also the ones who make certain that there is no disruption when God is being reverence in prayer, or when the Holy Spirit is prompting others to come to Christ. (Psalm 84:10) What I do in the ministry: The usher’s goal is to serve in a manner pleasing to God. Ushers and Greeters are to warmly greet every member and visitor with a smile. To assist with and coordinate the Resurrection Fellowship worship services, making them a pleasant and convenient experience. Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Psalms 84:10 NIV. The purpose of the hospitality ministry is to provide the church family with delicious food to encourage fellowship among believers. “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:20). Colossians 2:2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ
